Rules

Here are a list of the basic rules set by the USAA ( United States Air-Table-Hockey Association)

-A coin toss or a face-off determines who gets the first possession of the puck.

-The first person to score 7 points by shooting the puck into the opposing teams goal wins, however you can determine who wins by what team has the most goals by the end of a time limit.

-If the puck leaves the table a foul is called on the player that caused the puck to do so. Possession of the puck will be handed over to the opposing team.

-Once the puck is on a players side they have 7 seconds to get it back across the center line. Any longer results in a foul and change of possession.

-A player may not strike the puck with anything besides their mallet. This results in a change of possession.

-Stopping of the puck with anything besides the mallet when it is on a clear path to the goal results in a free shot for the other player. Which means the other player cannot place their mallet on the table while the other player takes a shot on the goal.

-Placing your mallet on top of the puck results in a foul, it is called topping.
